Scouts County Camp

The county are running a weekend camp for all county scouts from Friday 28th to the 30th of April on Dungannon Hill near Downhill. We will be covering many different scout based activities including pioneering, axe, knife safety, back woods cooking and camp menus along with other things. We would also like to get the kids together so we can mix and meet and exchange ideas.

The total cost is £25 (This includes all meals, activities and transport)

Full Uniform!

Warm Jumper / Hoody
Outdoor Coat
Waterproof Trousers
Light Towel
Hiking Boots
Head Torch and / or
Hand Torch (Please charge / replace batteries for both of these.)

Anti Midge Spray / (Head Net if you’re feeling fancy)
Sandwich / Freezer Bag Containing ¼ packet of wipes
Small Bottle of Antibacterial Gel (super cheap at the checkout in Lidl 😉
Personal Medications (Must be discussed on accompanying medical consent form)
Sleeping bag
Travel Pillow (or just bring an empty pillowcase – stuff your spare jumper into it to make a pillow 😉
Roll Mat or Self Inflating Mattress
Plate, Knife, Fork, Spoon, Mug (Maybe even a Spork? Whatever floats your boat.)

KIT NOTES

Get all of the above washed, waterproofed and lashed into a rucksack, we’re not camping far from the minibus so no probs if you want to pack your sleeping bag separately for handyness.
